When you play music, you discover a part of yourself that you never know existed
My name is Stefan Lechner, I am a pianist and piano teacher offering piano lessons in Vienna.
Born and raised in Tyrol I received my first piano lessons at the age of 10, soon to be captivated by this wonderful instrument it became my purpose in life.
Initially I was trained as a classical pianist, but after a few years I discovered the innumerable possibilities the instrument had to offer in a variety of popular styles. It was then that I decided to go both ways, to make music and not separate music by style.
I graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with a major in Jazz/Pop-Piano Music Education (minor in classical piano) as well as a second major in Cello Music Education.
As of now I look back on more than 15 years of teaching experience in both classical and Jazz-Pop-Piano.
Playing in numerous band projects, working as a collaborative pianist and accompanying soloists have influenced me greatly.
I offer modern, varied piano lessons, geared to individual needs and interests supporting musical and technical development at the piano.
