Myriam Labiausse is born in Naples in 1995 in a musician’s family. She takes her first violin lessons with her mother aged six. She enters the conservatory “San Pietro a Majella” in Naples aged ten and finishes her studies only aged seventeen in 2013 under Prof. Maurizio Lobello. After her diploma she wins the “Leonardo da Vinci” scholarship that allows her to study for one semester with Prof. Isidora Schwarzberg at the University of Music and Performing Arts (MDW) in Vienna. She later studies the Master of Arts Education in the Private University for Music and Art (MUK) with Prof. Dominika Falger and Musicology (BA-Programme) at the University of Vienna. She is currently playing in numerous orchestras. She has played between others with the Wiener Concert Verein, Tiroler Festspiele Erl and the Italian Youth Orchestra (OGI). She took part in many masterclasses with international teachers such as Dominika Falger, Isidora Schwarzberg, Sonig Tchakerian, Fabrizio von Arx and Manuel Meo and won various internationals violin competitions. She taught as an assistant of Prof. Wladislaw Winokurow in the European Music Institute Vienna (EMI) and in the Austrian Master Classes (AMC) in Zell an der Pram in summer 2019. Her master thesis is about the violin technique of Gravity which she teaches: a new methodical approach to a healthy posture while playing.
