Katarina Milisavljevic was born in 1997 in Belgrade, Serbia. At the age of eight she began her musical training on the violin.
She learned from the most important Serbian professors and from some internationally renowned professors such as Sergiu Schwartz, Federico Pivato, Christian Dallinger, Tymur Melnyk, Suyeon Kang, Vlad Popescu, Burghard Tölke and Dominika Falger.
She is the first and special prize winner at many national and international music competitions and festivals such as “Mladi Virtuoz” (“Young Virtuoso”) in Belgrade (Serbia), International Music Festival in Ub (Serbia), “Eugen Cuteanu” and “Alma Cornea Ionescu” music competitions in Timisoara (Romania), etc.
In 2016 she began her violin studies in Vienna and in June 2020 she obtained her diploma degree at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in the class of Prof. Burghard Tölke.
So far, she has participated in numerous orchestral and chamber music projects, festivals and orchestral academies, including: Wiener Jeunesse Orchester, Junge Philharmonie Wien, The New Symphony Vienna, Oper im Berg Festival, Wiener Stadtorchester, Pro Arte Orchester, Tiroler Festspiele Erl, etc.
She has performed as a soloist, orchestral musician and chamber musician in Serbia, Italy, Switzerland, Romania and Austria.
In June 2020 she was accepted as a member of “The New Symphony Vienna” orchestra after a successful audition.
She is currently studying Master of Arts Education Master studies in the class of prof. Dominika Falger at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna because it is her long-term goal to offer a teaching approach that is a unique combination of all the knowledge and skills that she has acquired.
